The optional Analytics, Marketing and External content categories remain inactive until a choice is made.

Cookie Policy contents
1.Controller and contact details
The data controller is Elimi S.r.l.s., Via Giacinto Bruzzesi 30, 91025 Marsala (TP), Italy. Tax code and VAT number 02785970811. Privacy email: info@favignanatips.it. Certified email (PEC): elimisrls@pec.it.
2.Cookies and other tools
Cookies are small items of data that a website or service can save and read through the browser. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage areas distinct from cookies. Other services may also use network requests, identifiers and their own technologies when activated.
This notice separately identifies the nature and purpose of the tools actually detected in the project.
3.Categories used
- Necessary: tools required for consent, language, sessions, security and features explicitly used; they are always available.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4; this category is optional and activates only after consent.
- Marketing: Google Ads and Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), to measure the results of FavignanaTips advertising campaigns (for example a purchase completed after an ad); this category is optional, separate from Analytics, and activates only after consent.
- External content: OpenStreetMap maps and YouTube or Vimeo videos; this is an optional preference, not the name of a cookie.
4.How choices work
On the first visit, optional categories remain inactive. Users can accept all, reject all, or customise Analytics, Marketing and External content separately.
The choice is recorded in ft_consent with version 2, date and time, and selected categories. Choices saved with the previous version remain valid, with Marketing disabled until it is enabled. It lasts 182 days. A change to the consent-system version may require a new choice.
5.Necessary cookies and preferences
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ft_consent | First-party cookie | Stores the version, timestamp and privacy choices | 182 days |
| ft_lang | First-party cookie | Remembers the selected language | 365 days |
| ft_admin_session | First-party HttpOnly cookie | Maintains the authenticated administration session | 8 hours |
| ft_egusa_session | First-party HttpOnly cookie | Anonymously identifies the EGUSA assistant session in order to protect the service from abuse; it contains no personal data and is not a tracking tool | 12 hours |
| sidebar_state | First-party cookie for an interface preference | Remembers whether the restricted-area sidebar is open or closed; it is not a tracking tool | 7 days |
6.Google Analytics 4
FavignanaTips uses the direct Google tag, without Google Tag Manager. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only when the Analytics category is active. Without a choice, after Reject all, or with Analytics disabled, the script is not loaded.
Automatic page-view reporting is disabled; page views during navigation are managed by the site’s own logic. On withdrawal, subsequent transmissions are blocked and Analytics cookies are removed from the site.
8.Google Ads
Google Ads uses the same Google tag as Google Analytics (a single library, without Google Tag Manager) and is configured only when the Marketing category is active. With Google Consent Mode, advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain denied until Marketing is enabled and return to denied on withdrawal; the Analytics category controls Google Analytics only.
Google Ads is used to measure the results of FavignanaTips advertising campaigns, in particular the purchase of a Standard or Pro plan after an ad. The purchase is reported only after the payment has been confirmed by the site’s systems. When Marketing is withdrawn, subsequent transmissions to Google Ads are blocked and the site’s Google Ads cookies are removed.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Links site conversions to advertising campaigns after Marketing consent | Approximately 90 days |
| _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Created only when arriving on the site from a Google ad: stores the click reference used to attribute the conversion | Approximately 90 days |
| GCL_AW_P and test_cookie (google.com, googleadservices.com, doubleclick.net domains) | Cookies set by Google on its own domains to measure advertising conversions, under Google’s policy | Up to approximately 90 days; test_cookie is short-lived |
9.Stripe cookies
Stripe is loaded when a user starts the payment process. Stripe documents the following cookies for fraud prevention; they do not depend on the Analytics category.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention | Approximately 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention | Approximately 30 minutes |
10.localStorage
localStorage is not a cookie and retains data in the browser beyond a single session until it is removed by the application or the user.
| Tool | Purpose | Technical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Account session (technical authentication-service key) | Maintains access and session renewal | Managed by the authentication service and account/session closure |
| favignanatips.redazione.bozza.<id> | Saves an editorial draft in the browser | No automatic expiry is coded |
| advertiser:<advertiser id>:<campaign id or new> | Saves in the browser the progress of the advertisement creation form in the Advertiser Area so it can be resumed; it is not a tracking tool | Removed when the draft is saved or submitted; otherwise no automatic expiry is coded |
11.sessionStorage and session technologies
sessionStorage is not a cookie and normally ends with the browser tab session. Some entries are removed earlier by the feature that uses them.
| Tool | Purpose | Technical duration |
|---|---|---|
| egusa:conversation | Messages and last update of the EGUSA conversation | Browser session and no more than 6 hours of inactivity |
| ft_password_recovery | Maintains the technical state of password recovery | Session or removal when the flow ends |
| favignanatips-ad-impression:<bannerId> and favignanatips-concierge-impression:<bannerId> | Avoids counting the same advertising impression more than once in the session | Session |
| favignanatips-biz:<business>:<event> | Avoids counting the same business statistic more than once in the same session (page view or clicks on contacts, website, social, map or experiences); it contains no personal data | Session |
| cat-hero:<slug> | Keeps the image selected for a category stable | Session |
| concierge:return-href | Returns to the page from which EGUSA was opened | Session or removal on return |
12.External content
OpenStreetMap and YouTube or Vimeo videos are requested by the browser only after External content has been enabled, including when the user activates the button in the relevant placeholder. Before activation, local content is shown and no request is sent to these providers.
After activation, the browser communicates at least the IP address and requested URL to the provider. YouTube and Vimeo may use their own cookies or technologies under their respective notices.
13.Server-side services
Weather and sea data through Open-Meteo, Smart Cala, geocoding with OpenStreetMap Nominatim and Photon/komoot, service emails, first-party statistics and EGUSA processing operate through the site’s servers or connected services. They are not automatically cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage in the user’s browser.
Aggregated first-party statistics do not use cookies and do not record IP addresses, user agents or visitor identifiers. Fonts are hosted locally.
14.Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)
The Meta Pixel loads only when the Marketing category is active and measures the results of FavignanaTips campaigns on Facebook and Instagram: page views, account registration, submission of a claim request and server-confirmed purchases. No name, email or other personal data entered on the site is sent. When Marketing is withdrawn, subsequent transmissions to Meta are blocked.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta | Measures visits and conversions from Facebook/Instagram campaigns after Marketing consent | Approximately 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta | Created only when arriving from a Meta ad: stores the click reference | Approximately 90 days |
15.Connected providers
Each provider applies its own terms and privacy notices to processing within its responsibility.
- Google Analytics for optional statistics;
- Google Ads for optional advertising-campaign measurement (Marketing category);
- Meta Platforms Ireland (Meta Pixel) for optional measurement of Facebook and Instagram campaigns (Marketing category);
- Stripe for payments and fraud prevention;
- the provider of the application infrastructure and Supabase for hosting, functions, email, authentication, database and storage;
- the connected technical service that routes artificial intelligence requests, together with Google Gemini, for EGUSA responses;
- Open-Meteo for weather and marine data;
- OpenStreetMap Foundation for maps and Nominatim;
- komoot for the Photon endpoint;
- Google/YouTube and Vimeo for external videos.
16.Changing or withdrawing consent
Choices can be changed at any time through Privacy preferences in the footer. Withdrawing Analytics disables subsequent transmissions and removes the site’s Analytics cookies. Withdrawing Marketing blocks subsequent transmissions to Google Ads and Meta. Disabling External content prevents subsequent loading of external maps and videos.
17.Browser settings
The browser can display, block or delete cookies and local storage. Removing necessary tools may sign the user out, erase preferences or temporarily prevent certain features from working correctly.
18.Personal data and rights
The Privacy Policy provides information about the Controller, purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention and data subject rights.
19.Updates
This Cookie Policy may be updated when the tools used or applicable law changes. The date at the beginning of the page identifies the published version.
